ABOUT

Alannah Vellacott.

Alannah is a Marine Ecologist, PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, PADI AmbassaDiver, and an AIDA 3 freediver. Alannah combines her career in marine science, water skills, love of the ocean, and experience in science communication to inspire ocean action and uplift BIPOC voices in science and the ocean space.

Alannah has appeared in Enslaved with Samuel L. Jackson, Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, Essence Magazine, and PBS Nova. Her underwater imagery and storytelling—featuring collaborations with brands like GoPro, Fourth Element, SUUNTO, and PADI—amplifies her mission to inspire change for ocean health.
